My Mom the do-gooder!
I wanted to check my emails today. I took my laptop and saw that my mom was still logged in with her account.
I often do a lot of stuff for her, cause she isn’t very fit with all the computer stuff.
She could be, because she’s very intelligent, but she doesn’t want to.
I saw an email in her basket under drafts. I smiled because I thought she would have done it unintended. I did not want to read the mail, but when I wanted to delete her draft, I saw the subject:
animal experimentation with apes
My Mom is such an underestimated person. She always underrates herself and she always says things like “Oh no, I can’t do that!” or “I’m not intelligent enough for that!”
She’s absolutely not plain vanilla and it’s not the first time today that she surprises me that much and leaves me speechless.
Her normal day is stamped by work. She has 3 jobs to keep her head over water and she never complains. She spends all her money for others. She is strong and has lived an emotional life with many downs.
But she still is the most selfless person I know and she is also the most honest person I ever met. I love and admire her for that.
Although she has enough to do with herself, she keeps fighting for others!
An email may not be a big thing, but it’s her try to give the creatures not able to defend themselves a voice.
Great things are beginning with small steps.
This was not the first time she tried to rescue animals and she already saved a few life’s.
I did not delete the draft and I will call her now if she wants to have dinner with me tomorrow.
Some people keep saying that I am exactly like her, and that’s the biggest compliment I can get. She is not only my Mom, she is my friend, my idol and she is one of the most important persons to me. And she definitely is a do-gooder!
