the fisherman and the businessman
A fisherman sits under a tree by the water and fishes. Then a businessman comes by and asks him what he’s doing. The fisherman says:
“I fish something to eat for my family. Some days I catch little and some days I catch so much that I release the fish again.”
The businessman replies:
“If you catch that many fish, then you should buy a boat so you can catch more fish. And when you catch more fish then you should buy a net to catch even more fish. And if you catch that many fish, you will soon be able to hire staff to catch the fish for you on the boat. Then you can sit in the shade of the trees all day, you don’t have to work and you can just be happy. “
The fisherman looks at the businessman questioningly and says:
“Well, that’s exactly what I’m doing now!”
